Join us for an evening with artist, Kate Browning Word, most known for her photography presented in mixed media collage with used coffee filters and dyed fabrics. This exhibition presents a new focus in Word’s photo manipulation and is the first public showing of her abstract acrylic paintings on canvas.
Word, a native Texan, moved to the Coastal Bend from Taos, NM where she operated a weaving studio. Collectors from Kyoto, JPN, Canada, Baltimore, MD, Franklin, TN and many locals recognize her unique appreciation for traditional and fine art craftsmanship.
Word has been a featured “Artist of the Month” several times at Stinger’s Coffee on Airline. Her online gallery representation is: katebrowning-word.artistwebsites.com. She and her husband, William, live in Corpus Christi, TX.
